A collaboration for crunchy growth for shortbread

The Jordans and Ryvita Company (JDR), part of Associated British Foods Grain Products Ltd, one of the UK's leading food producers, has now entered into an agreement on cooperation with Jensen & Co.

The collaboration concerns the sale and marketing of Ryvita shortbread in the Norwegian market from 1 October 2018. The parties are already collaborating on the sale of Dorset breakfast products.

Jensen & Co sells and markets brands to the Norwegian grocery and catering market, with a focus on natural health and food enjoyment.

"We are looking forward to this collaboration, as it strengthens us in two of our investment areas; crackers and breakfast products," says Marianne Haslund, responsible for new brands at Jensen & Co. "JDR is a professional partner with ambitions, with whom we look forward to creating results together."

Jensen & Co currently represents Leksand's shortbread and GG Superfiber in the market, and with Ryvita on board, they will become the No. 2 supplier in dry bread*. Ryvita had an annual turnover to consumers of NOK 50.5 million*. "Ryvita shortbread is rich in flavor and is baked without yeast, and the products will nicely complement the range we already have in the category," says Marianne Haslund. "In this way, Jensen & Co is strengthened in our work to be an exciting partner for breakfast and snacks."
