Jensen & Co is established by Ludvig Christian Jensen. The store is located in Dronningensgate and later in Torggaten 5.

Ludvig starts collaboration with Sir Thomas Lipton, the cooperation is a «gentleman’s agreement» or a «handshake». This cooperation characterize Jensen & Co for over 100 years and last until 2002.
2nd generation Jensen consists of 4 boys, which 3 of them are active in Jensen & Co and establish their own businesses; PM Jensen, Karl A Jensen and Adelsten Jensen. Peter Marinius establishes PM Jensen in Torggaten 5 this year.
Brynjulf Bjerregaard Jensen takes over the company as the 3rd generation. He is one of three siblings (Ludvig Irgens Jensen and Dagny Irgens Jensen).
Randi Gran Jensen takes over the company after her husband’s death. She is struggling to get the right to conduct the business as a woman, but nothing will stop her. She is not deterred.
Brynjulf Gran Jensen takes over and changes the focus from a grocery store to a distributor, with Lipton agency as an anchor point.
The sales organization is fully developed with 12 persons. We move to new facilities in Skårersletta 80. Focus changes from agent to distributor.
We take over the sale of Sunsweet prunes. The partnership is still going strong and Sunsweet is still in our portfolio.
Jensen & Co signs agreement with Weetabix Ltd. The collaboration is still ongoing and in 2013 Jensen & Co is awarded «Distributor of The Year» award by Weetabix Ltd.
Jensen & Co moves into new offices and warehousing facilities at Skytta in Nittedal.
Christine Bugge Jensen takes over as 5th generation with a focus on Sales and Category growth.
Starts collaboration with Bonduelle and introduces Gourmet sweet corn in Norway. The brand has contributed to significant growth in the canned vegetable category.
We launch Ella’s Kitchen in Norway and become a major player in the childrens food category. In 2012 Jensen & Co together with Ella’s Kitchen wins the coveted DLF Innovation Award.
Takes over the distribution of Oatly AB in Norway and contributes to growth in the «Free-from» category through consumer insight on reaching new consumers.
We launched Leksands Crispbread in Norway, and through our work together with Leksands we created a great launch and communication platform for the brand, leading to good distribution. Jensen & Co wins the award of «Best distributor of Leksands» in 2014.
